This was a strange week when I set about the task of meal planning. I browsed Pinterest as usual for some inspiration and started making the menu. I still have some meats left over from the great sale I found so I started by using those. As I made the list I thought about what I had on hand already. Usually I get ready Thursday mornings and head to Aldi. I opened my list making program, looked at the menu to decipher what ingredients I needed, and found only 3! Milk, bread, and eggs. I went back over the menu, surely I was missing something. Read down the list very, very slowly. Okay, not going crazy today, there is really nothing I need to make this weeks meal plan work. Score! Let me share with you what we will be having. I will definitely be posting recipes in separate posts for a couple of these because they are new to us ideas. So menus items with a star beside look forward to a recipe posted this week!
Meal #1 * Gumbo with chicken and ground pork. I do not like okra so no okra in this one.
Meal #2 * Sloppy Joe Beans with Rice. Yup still on a sloppy joe kick.
Meal #3 * Diced tomatoes with olive oil over noodles
Meal #4 * Cajun spiced chicken with rice
Meal #5 Salmon sandwiches with roasted potatoes
Meal #6 Breakfast for dinner
